Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(i) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, the committee resumed its study of the mission, mandate, role, structure and financing of the new capstone research funding organization announced in budget 2024.

Vanessa Sheane, Sarah Watts-Rynard and Christian Agbobli made statements and answered questions.

At 5:14 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 5:21 p.m., the meeting resumed.

Martin Maltais, Jennie Z. Young and Karine Morin made statements and, with Sophie Montreuil, answered questions.

At 6:23 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
