Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(i) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, the committee resumed its study of successes, challenges and opportunities for science in Canada.

Michael J. Strong, Alejandro Adem and Ted Hewitt made statements and answered questions.

At 7:35 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 7:38 p.m., the sitting resumed.

By unanimous consent, it was agreed, — That the committee continue to sit when the bells are sounded to call in the members to a recorded division later today, and that the meeting shall be adjourned at 8:20 p.m. today.

David Naylor, Tim Kenyon and Karen Mossman made statements and, with Gerry Wright, answered questions.

At 8:02 p.m., pursuant to Standing Order 115(5) and the motion adopted earlier, it was agreed that the committee continue to sit.

At 8:21 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
