Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(i) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, October 31, 2024, the committee commenced its study of the impact of the criteria for awarding federal funding on research excellence in Canada.

Eric Kaufmann, Jeremy Kerr and Yuan Yi Zhu made statements and answered questions.

At 4:56 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 5:02 p.m., the meeting resumed.

Christopher Dummitt, Bruce Pardy and Daniel O’Donnell made statements and answered questions.

At 6:06 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
