Tanja Niemann and Adel El Zaïm made statements and answered questions.
On motion of Maxime Blanchette-Joncas, it was agreed, — That the deadline for the submission of briefs in relation to the study of research and scientific publication in French be extended to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 24, 2022.
Maxime Blanchette-Joncas moved, — That the committee again invite the Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry, François-Philippe Champagne, to testify as part of the study on research and scientific publication in French during one of the meetings of the committee to be held during the month of November.
Debate arose thereon.
Chad Collins moved, — That the motion be amended by replacing the words “during one of the meetings of the committee to be held during the month of November” with the words “on or after Monday, November 21, 2022”.
After debate, the question was put on the amendment of Chad Collins and it was agreed to.
The committee resumed consideration of the motion, as amended, of Maxime Blanchette-Joncas, — That the committee again invite the Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry, François-Philippe Champagne, to testify as part of the study on research and scientific publication in French on or after Monday, November 21, 2022.

Stéphane Lauzon moved, — That the motion be amended by adding after the words “research and scientific publication in French” the following: “for one hour, and as part of the study on international moonshot programs for one hour,”.
