Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(i) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, May 23, 2024, the committee commenced its study of innovation, science, and research in recycling plastics.

Dany Drouin made a statement and, with Thomas Kruidenier, answered questions.

At 11:59 a.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 12:07 p.m., the meeting resumed.

Karen Wirsig made a statement and answered questions.

Motion

Corey Tochor moved, — That, given the large workload the committee has on the docket, the committee instructs the chair to book five meetings between July 8 and September 13, 2024, to deal with unfinished business and pressing matters facing Canadians, including the study on innovation, science, and research in recycling plastics, and the study on the distribution of federal government funding among Canada’s post-secondary institutions.

Debate arose thereon.

Motion

Lloyd Longfield moved, — That the debate be now adjourned.

The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to on the following recorded division:
