Peter Davis made a statement and answered questions.
Michael Barrett moved, — That the committee undertake a review of the data privacy and contracting policies employed by Export Development Canada (EDC) during the implementation of the Canada Emergency Business Account (CEBA) program, that the committee report its findings and recommendations to the House, and that the committee invite the following witnesses to testify:
(a) Accenture CEO Julie Sweet and officials;
(b) EDC CEO Mairead Lavery and officials; and
(c) Auditor General of Canada Karen Hogan.
Debate arose thereon.
The question was put on the motion and the result of the vote was announced:
YEAS: Michael Barrett, Michael Cooper, Matthew Green, Eric Melillo, René Villemure — 5;
NAYS: Parm Bains, Francis Drouin, Darren Fisher, Anthony Housefather, Brenda Shanahan — 5.
Whereupon, the Chair voted in the affirmative.
Accordingly, the motion was agreed to.
At 5:12 p.m., the meeting was suspended.
At 5:16 p.m., the meeting resumed.
Daniel Rogers made a statement and, with Paul Lynd, answered questions.
At 6:12 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
