Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(h) and the motion adopted by the committee on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, the committee resumed its study of allegations related to governance and management of contributions by Sustainable Development Technology Canada.

Doug McConnachie, Annette Verschuren, and Leah Lawrence made statements and, with Sheryl Urie, answered questions.

It was agreed, — That all answers or documents requested during the meeting today be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 15, 2023.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Second Report from the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure which read as follows, be concurred in:

Your subcommittee met on Monday, November 6, 2023, to consider the business of the committee and agreed to make the following recommendations:

  1. That the meetings of November 20, 22, 27 and 29, 2023, be dedicated to the study of the use of social media platforms for data harvesting and unethical or illicit sharing of personal information with foreign entities;

  2. That, in the event that the individual who requested to appear as a whistleblower in relation to the study of allegations related to governance and management of contributions by Sustainable Development Technology Canada still wishes to appear, the individual be invited to appear during the week of November 20 to 24, 2023, if it is the desire of the committee; and

  3. That the Chair be authorized to organize the witnesses for the meetings on November 20 and 22, 2023.

At 6:26 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
