The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the committee hold an informal meeting with a parliamentary delegation from the European Parliament on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, and that the clerk, in consultation with the Chair, make arrangements for a working meal to be provided.

It was agreed, — That, notwithstanding the motion adopted on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, members submit their final lists of suggested witnesses for the study of the use of social media platforms for data harvesting and unethical or illicit sharing of personal information with foreign entities no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 28, 2023.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(h) and the motion adopted by the committee on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, the committee resumed its study of foreign interference and threats to the integrity of democratic institutions, intellectual property and the Canadian state.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

At 5:03 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:06 p.m., the sitting resumed.

At 6:31 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
