The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the First Report from the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure, which read as follows, be concurred in:

Your subcommittee met on Thursday, February 10, 2022, to consider the business of the committee and agreed to make the following recommendations:

1. That the committee prioritize its studies as follows:

a. Labour shortages, working conditions and the care economy;

b. Impact of COVID-19 on seniors;

c. Housing Accelerator Fund;

d. Disability inclusion;

e. Supporting black Canadian communities.

2. That, in the context of the study of supporting black Canadian communities, the committee hold two meetings on this matter.

3. That, in the context of the study of labour shortages, working conditions and the care economy, the analysts and the clerk, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a news release for publication on the committee’s website.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $ 1,900, for the study of briefing on the ministerial mandate letters, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $ 5,275, for the study of labour shortages, working conditions and the care economy, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $ 1,425, for the study of impact of COVID-19 on seniors, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That, in the context of the study of labour shortages, working conditions and the care economy, when the committee hold meetings to receive evidence, witnesses be limited to three organizations or individuals per one hour panel.

It was agreed, — That, in the context of the study of the Housing Accelerator Fund, the committee hold five meetings to hear from witnesses.

At 12:32 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
