Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, February 3, 2022, the committee resumed its study of the Housing Accelerator Fund.

The minister made a statement and, with Romy Bowers, answered questions.

At 4:47 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:51 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Éric Cimon, Jeff Morrison and Michael Bourque made statements and answered questions.

Motion

Soraya Martinez Ferrada moved, — That, notwithstanding the motion adopted on Thursday, February 3, 2022, in relation to the study of the Housing Accelerator Fund, the committee hold one additional meeting to receive testimony from the perspective of women and Indigenous communities; and that this meeting be one hour.

Debate arose thereon.

Amendment

Bonita Zarrillo moved, — That the motion be amended by deleting the word “and” after the words “perspective of women”; and by adding after the words “Indigenous communities” the following: “and persons with disabilities”.

After debate, the question was put on the amendment of Bonita Zarrillo and it was agreed to.

The motion, as amended, read as follows:

That, notwithstanding the motion adopted on Thursday, February 3, 2022, in relation to the study of the Housing Accelerator Fund, the committee hold one additional meeting to receive testimony from the perspective of women, Indigenous communities and persons with disabilities; and that this meeting be one hour.

At 5:35 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
