Morgan Frank and Fenwick McKelvey made statements and answered questions.
Tracy Gray moved, — The committee immediately undertake a five meeting review on the disproportionate impact the carbon tax has on low income individuals.
The question was put on the motion and it was negatived on the following recorded division:
YEAS: Scott Aitchison, Rosemarie Falk, Michelle Ferreri, Tracy Gray — 4;
NAYS: Louise Chabot, Chad Collins, Michael Coteau, Peter Fragiskatos, Wayne Long, Tony Van Bynen, Bonita Zarrillo — 7.
By unanimous consent, on motion of Bonita Zarrillo, it was agreed, — That, given multiple recent reports of persons with disabilities facing discrimination and unacceptable treatment while traveling with Air Canada, and that Air Canada admitted it violated Canadian disability regulations, that, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee invite Air Canada Chief Executive Officer Michael Rousseau as soon as possible to committee for a minimum of one hour to explain these violations related to persons with disabilities and how they will rectify this situation; that a report of this meeting be prepared and presented to the House; and that, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the government table a comprehensive response to the report and explain how they will rectify this situation.

At 6:14 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.
It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $12,500.00, for the study of intergenerational volunteerism, be adopted.
It was agreed, — That the members of the committee submit to the clerk all of their proposed amendments to Bill C-318 no later than noon on Thursday, January 25, 2024.
It was agreed, — That the deadline for the submission of briefs in relation to the study of Bill C-318 be Monday, January 8, 2024.
It was agreed, — That members submit their prioritized list of witnesses for the study of intergenerational volunteerism to the clerk no later than 5 p.m. on Thursday, November 23, 2023.
It was agreed, — That the deadline for the submission of briefs in relation to the study of intergenerational volunteerism be Monday, December 11, 2023.
