Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, February 3, 2022, the committee resumed its study of the Housing Accelerator Fund.

Motion

Stephanie Kusie moved, — That, in accordance with the request of the Standing Committee on Finance, the committee hold three meetings prior to Friday, May 27, 2022, to consider the subject matter of Part 5, Divisions 26, 27, 29 and 32 of Bill C-19, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on April 7, 2022 and other measures.

Debate arose thereon.

On motion of Soraya Martinez Ferrada, it was agreed, — That the motion be amended by adding after the words “Friday, May 27, 2022,” the following: “subject to the availability of the House of Commons services,”.

After debate, the question was put on the motion, as amended, and it was agreed to on the following recorded division:

YEAS: Louise Chabot, Chad Collins, Michael Coteau, Marilyn Gladu, Stephanie Kusie, Ron Liepert, Wayne Long, Soraya Martinez Ferrada, Alex Ruff, Tony Van Bynen, Bonita Zarrillo — 11;

The motion, as amended, read as follows:

That, in accordance with the request of the Standing Committee on Finance, the committee hold three meetings prior to Friday, May 27, 2022, subject to the availability of the House of Commons services, to consider the subject matter of Part 5, Divisions 26, 27, 29 and 32 of Bill C-19, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on April 7, 2022 and other measures.

Stephanie Kusie moved, — That the Minister of Labour and the Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Disability Inclusion be invited to appear before the committee in the context of the subject matter of Part 5, Divisions 26, 27, 29 and 32 of Bill C-19, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on April 7, 2022 and other measures.

After debate, the question was put on the motion and it was agreed to on the following recorded division:
