Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, March 21, 2024, the committee resumed its study of Islamophobia and additional measures that could be taken to address the valid fears that are being expressed by Canada’s Muslim community.

On motion of Rob Moore, it was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $14,450, for the study of Islamophobia and additional measures that could be taken to address the valid fears that are being expressed by Canada’s Muslim community, be adopted.

Nadia Hasan, Asif Khan, Amira Elghawaby and Boufeldja Benabdallah made statements and answered questions.

At 11:47 a.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 11:50 a.m., the meeting resumed.

At 12:17 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 12:23 p.m., the meeting resumed.

Julie Macfarlane, Husein Panju, Fauzia Mazhar and Abdallah Yousri made statements and answered questions.
