Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, December 2, 2024, the committee commenced its study of the subject matter of Bill C-63, An Act to enact the Online Harms Act, to amend the Criminal Code, the Canadian Human Rights Act and An Act respecting the mandatory reporting of Internet child pornography by persons who provide an Internet service and to make consequential and related amendments to other Acts.

Carol Todd, Barbie Lavers and Lianna McDonald made statements and, with Carl Burke, answered questions.

At 11:25 a.m., pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the committee continue to sit.

At 11:48 a.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 12:02 p.m., the meeting resumed.

Tim McSorley and Miranda Jordan-Smith made statements and, with Carol Todd, answered questions.

At 1:07 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
