The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Fifth Report from the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure, which read as follows, be concurred in:

  1. For the meeting of Monday, April 17, 2023 – The committee study Bill C-41 and hear from the Minister of Public Safety and officials for the first hour and the second hour be to meet with the officials.
  2. For the meeting of Wednesday, April 19, 2023 – The committee study Bill C-41 and hear from witnesses for two hours.
  3. For the meeting of Monday, April 24, 2023 – The committee proceed to clause-by-clause study of Bill C-41 for the first hour and the second hour be devoted to the draft report for the study of Extradition Law reform.
  4. For the meeting of Wednesday, April 26, 2023 – The Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure meets to study committee business for the first hour and the second hour be devoted, if necessary, to pursue the draft report for the study of Extradition Law reform.
  5. The deadline to submit briefs on the Canada’s bail system study be on Friday, April 14, 2023.
  6. That the deadline to submit witnesses for the study on Bill C-41 be Wednesday, April 5, 2023.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, January 30, 2023, the committee resumed its study of Canada’s bail system.

The committee proceeded to give drafting instructions to the analysts for a draft report.

At 5:34 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
