Pursuant to the motion adopted by the House on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, September 22, 2022, the committee commenced its study of the subject matter of Bill C-28, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (self-induced extreme intoxication).

At 3:31 p.m., Rob Moore took the Chair.

Carol McBride, Eric Dumschat and Jennifer Dunn made statements and, with Adam Bond, answered questions.

At 4:28 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:33 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

Randeep Sarai took the Chair.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the draft budget to travel to Geneva, Nuremburg and The Hague for the committee’s study on accountability for international atrocity crimes and current and emerging strategies on international accountability, be adopted and that the Chair present the said budget to the Liaison Committee.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, the committee resumed its study of government's obligations to victims of crime.

The committee proceeded to give drafting instructions to the analyst for a draft report.

At 5:00 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
