Pursuant to the order of reference of Monday, March 27, 2023, the committee commenced consideration of Bill C-41, An Act to amend the Criminal Code and to make consequential amendments to other Acts.

The Minister made a statement and, with Sébastien Aubertin-Giguère, answered questions.

At 4:36 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:43 p.m., the sitting resumed.

On motion of Garnett Genuis, it was agreed, — That for the purpose of the Clause-by-Clause consideration of Bill C-41, An Act to amend the Criminal Code and to make consequential amendments to other Acts, the deadline to submit amendments be Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 5:00 p.m.

On motion of Alexis Brunelle-Duceppe, it was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $2,750, for the study of Bill C-41, An Act to amend the Criminal Code and to make consequential amendments to other Acts, be adopted.

At 5:31 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
