Pursuant to Standing Orders 111.1(1), the committee commenced consideration of the certificate of nomination of Nancy Bélanger to the position of Commissioner of Lobbying, referred to the committee on Monday, October 21, 2024.

Caroline Maynard and Nancy Bélanger made statements and answered questions.

On motion of Darren Fisher, it was agreed, — That the Committee has considered the proposed appointment of Caroline Maynard as Information Commissioner of Canada and reports its support for her appointment to the House.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.
