The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

Motion

Michael Barrett moved, — With regard to Minister Randy Boissonnault’s involvement in Global Health Imports and the firm's contracts with the Government of Canada, the committee call the following witnesses:

• Shawna Parker and Felix Papineau of Global Health Imports

• Minister Randy Boissonnault

• Malvina Ghaoui.

Debate arose thereon.

At 5:30 p.m., Darren Fisher took the Chair.

At 5:34 p.m., John Brassard took the Chair.

Amendment

Iqra Khalid moved, — That the motion be amended by deleting the words “Malvina Ghaoui”.

Debate arose thereon.

The question was put on the amendment and the result of the vote was announced:

YEAS: Parm Bains, Darren Fisher, Anthony Housefather, Iqra Khalid, Brenda Shanahan — 5;

NAYS: Michael Barrett, Michael Cooper, Matthew Green, Shuvaloy Majumdar, René Villemure — 5.

Whereupon, the Chair voted in the negative.

Accordingly, the amendment was negatived.

The question was put on the motion and the result of the vote was announced:

YEAS: Michael Barrett, John Brassard, Michael Cooper, Matthew Green, Shuvaloy Majumdar — 5;

NAYS: Parm Bains, Darren Fisher, Anthony Housefather, Iqra Khalid, Brenda Shanahan — 5.

Whereupon, the Chair voted in the affirmative.

Accordingly, the motion was agreed to.

At 6:18 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
