Pursuant to the order of reference of Wednesday, May 18, 2022, the committee commenced consideration of Bill S-206, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (disclosure of information by jurors).

The Chair called Clause 1.

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

At 5:19 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:21 p.m., the sitting resumed.

The committee commenced its clause-by-clause study of the Bill.

Clause 1 carried.

Clause 2 carried.

The Title carried.

The Bill was adopted.

ORDERED, — That the Chair report the Bill to the House.

At 5:23 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:27 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study to review all available international mechanisms to hold state parties and others accountable for International Atrocity Crimes (war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide), the proposed budget in the amount of $147,784.27, for the committee’s travel to Germany, Netherlands and Switzerland, in Summer - Fall 2022, be adopted.

At 5:34 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
