Andrew Hayes and Jonathan Moor made statements and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.
Brenda Shanahan moved, — That, when the committee undertakes to invite witnesses that:
a) a witness list submission deadline be set by the chair, with the explicit consent of the committee;
b) witnesses be invited proportionally to each recognized party’s standing in the House; and
c) no such witness be invited without instruction of the committee.
.RULING BY THE CHAIR
The Chair ruled the motion inadmissible as a 48-hour notice was not provided and the motion did not relate directly to the business at hand.Whereupon, Tony Van Bynen appealed the decision of the Chair.
The question: "Shall the decision of the Chair be sustained?" was put and the decision was overturned on the following recorded division:
YEAS: Larry Brock, John Nater, Nathalie Sinclair-Desgagné, Arnold Viersen — 4;
NAYS: Valerie Bradford, Blake Desjarlais, Iqra Khalid, Brenda Shanahan, Tony Van Bynen, Jean Yip — 6.
At 11:23, the sitting was suspended.
At 11:29, the sitting resumed in public.

The questioning of the witnesses resumed.
It was agreed, — It was agreed that the deadline to submit suggested witnesses for the study of Report 1, ArriveCAN, of the 2024 Reports of the Auditor General of Canada be noon, on Wednesday, April 10.
At 12:44 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
