The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

The Chair presented the Fourth Report from the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure, which read as follows:

Your Subcommittee met on Monday, September 16, 2024, to consider the business of the Committee and agreed to make the following recommendations:

1. That, in regard to the appearance of the Whistleblower on the subject of Report 6, Sustainable Development Technology Canada, that the witness be referred to as Witness-1 when appearing before committee.

2. That, in regard to documents that will be received from Microsoft, that the committee consider these sensitive in nature and that if necessary, the committee meet with representatives from Microsoft to discuss any concerns they may have regarding these documents.

It was agreed, — That the Fourth Report from the subcommittee be concurred in.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(g), the committee commenced consideration of Report 7, Cybersecurity of Personal Information in the Cloud, of the 2022 Reports 5 to 8 of the Auditor General of Canada, referred to the committee on Tuesday, November 15, 2022.

The committee commenced consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Cybersecurity of Personal Information in the Cloud".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report.

It was agreed, — That dissenting or supplementary opinions be in Calibri 12-point font, left aligned, single-spaced, and be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the clerk of the committee, not later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.

ORDERED, — That the clerk and analysts of the committee, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a news release for publication on the committee’s website and for distribution upon presentation of the report to the House.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

At 1:00 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
