Julie Vignola gave oral notice of the following motion:
''That the committee request the Auditor General of Canada:
i. To conduct an analysis of the contract between the Government of Canada and the Canada Life Insurance Company in relation to the Public Service Health Care Plan;
ii. To compare the services offered by Sun Life of Canada with those offered by Canada Life;
iii. To report to the committee as soon as possible.''
Questioning of the witnesses resumed.

Julie Vignola moved, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(1), the committee order the government and Public Services and Procurement Canada to produce, in both official languages, a copy of all contracts, communications, memoranda, calls for tenders and proposal submissions with GC Strategies in the context of the COVID Alert application, as well as all government or internal communications from any government agency or department in connection with the COVID Alert application, and that they be submitted no later than Friday, March 15, 2024, provided that these documents are free of all redactions.
Debate arose thereon.
Irek Kusmierczyk moved, — That the motion be amended by deleting the words “, communications, memoranda, calls for tenders and proposal submissions”.

The question was put on the amendment and the result of the vote was announced:
YEAS: Parm Bains, Majid Jowhari, Irek Kusmierczyk, Sonia Sidhu, Charles Sousa — 5;
NAYS: Taylor Bachrach, Kelly Block, Garnett Genuis, Stephanie Kusie, Julie Vignola — 5.
Whereupon, the Chair voted in the negative.
Accordingly, the amendment was negatived.

Irek Kusmierczyk moved, — That the motion be amended by deleting the words “, as well as all government or internal communications from any government agency or department in connection with the COVID Alert application,”.

By unanimous consent, the amendment was withdrawn.
Irek Kusmierczyk moved, — That the motion be amended by adding before the words “to produce, in both official languages” the following: “and Health Canada”; and by deleting the words “as well as all government or internal communications from any government agency or department in connection with the COVID Alert application”.
