Pursuant to the order of reference of Wednesday, February 15, 2023, the committee resumed consideration of Bill C-290, An Act to amend the Public Servants Disclosure Protection Act.

Joanna Gualtieri and Julie Dion made statements and answered questions.

At 5:36 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:42 p.m., the sitting resumed.

David Hutton and Ian Bron made statements and answered questions.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of National Shipbuilding Strategy, the proposed budget in the amount of $ 65,609.10, for the committee’s travel to Québec, Québec, Lévis, Québec, and Halifax, Nova Scotia, in summer‑fall 2023, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of National Shipbuilding Strategy, the proposed budget in the amount of $ 76,899.10, for the committee’s travel to Victoria, British Columbia, and Vancouver, British Columbia, in summer-fall 2023, be adopted.

At 6:35 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
