Pursuant to Standing Orders 108(3)(c)(iii) and 108(3)(c)(ix) and the motion adopted by the committee on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, the committee resumed its study of federal government consulting contracts awarded to McKinsey & Company.

Karen Hogan made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

Motion

Stephanie Kusie moved, — That in relation to the committee’s study of federal government consulting contracts awarded to McKinsey & Company, the committee invite to appear:

• Dominic Barton, former Global Managing Partner of McKinsey;

• Bob Sternfels, current Global Managing Partner of McKinsey;

• Boyan Gerasimov, former Engagement Manager of McKinsey & former Director of Policy to the Minister of Public Services and Procurement Canada;

• The McKinsey Canada officials responsible for securing government contracts;

• The President of the Treasury Board and departmental officials;

• The Minister of Public Service and Procurement and departmental officials;

• Department of National Defence officials;

• Department of Immigration officials;

• Business Development Bank of Canada officials;

• Export Development Canada officials;

• Public Sector Pension Investment Board officials;

• Trans Mountain Corporation executives;

• Canada Infrastructure Bank officials.

Debate arose thereon.

At 1:40 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
