It was agreed, — That the Parliamentary Budget Officer provide the committee updates to two reports: Planned Capital Spending Under Strong, Secure, Engaged ‑ Canada’s Defence Policy: 2022 Update, and Life Cycle Cost of the Canadian Surface Combatants.
It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $ 1, 250, for the study of Supplementary Estimates (A) 2023‑24: Vote 1a under the Department of Public Works and Government Services, be adopted.
The Chair called Vote 1a under Department of Public Works and Government Services.

ORDERED, — That the Chair report Vote1 a under Department of Public Works and Government Services to the House.
Irek Kusmierczyk moved, — That the committee consider Bill C‑290, An Act to amend the Public Servants Disclosure Protection Act for two hours on Monday, June 19, 2023; and on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, the committee study the nomination for the Public Sector Integrity Commissioner for one hour.
Debate arose thereon.
RULING BY THE CHAIR
The Chair ruled the proposed motion inadmissible because the committee was not in committee business.
Whereupon, Irek Kusmierczyk appealed the decision of the Chair. The question: “Shall the decision of the Chair be sustained?” was put and the decision was sustained on the following recorded division:

Accordingly, the Chair’s decision was sustained.
It was agreed, — That the committee consider Bill C‑290, An Act to amend the Public Servants Disclosure Protection Act and have 15 minutes of committee business on Monday, June 19, 2023.
